Originitalia uses the knowledge and enterprise of its Research & Development (R&D) department to create, formulate and develop cosmetic products of the highest-calibre. Persistently keeping up to speed with the various market trends, Originitalia holds a rich, constantly evolving database full of innovative raw materials. With this at their disposal, the R&D team guarantees personalized, cutting edge products that are continuously and diligently evolving whilst always operating in complete accordance with industry regulations.
Quality Assurance (QA)
Originitalia’s R&D department works closely alongside Quality Assurance (QA) to ensure that every product attains and maintains the highest possible standard and safety, thereby providing complete satisfaction for the client. To achieve this, QA implements continuous and thorough Analytical and Microbiological analyses using state-of-the-art equipment throughout each phase of the production process: from the raw materials as they arrive, through the different phases of manufacturing, to the finished products as they leave. Analytical testing guarantees that the chemical-physical components of a raw material conform to the standard. Microbiological testing is carried out as a safety precaution for the costumer and to certify that the raw materials used are not contaminated.
QA has at its disposal:
| Analytical test | Microbiological test |
| Infra-red | Aerobic Plate Count |
| PH | Total Yeast & Mould Count |
| Karl Fischer Titration | Microbiological Examination of H20 |
| Viscosity | Air Sampling (MAS 100 Eco) |
| Specific Gravity (density) | Identification of Clinically Significant Gram-Negative |
| Frequently Isolated Aerobic Gram-positive | |
| Challenge Tests |
QA testing process
Materials on arrival: the raw materials are subjected to both analytical and microbiological analyses while the packaging of the materials are checked to confirm they correspond with the purchase specifications.
Inspection of the manufacturing phase: periodical checks of equipment/machinery and internal audits take place to verify that production is maintained at the highest level. Analytical and Microbiological tests of the bulk are carried out to ensure that the manufactured product conforms to the standard.
Finished products: undergo microbiological analysis and chemical-physical controls to guarantee the quality expected before it is introduced into the market.
